Honors and commends the distinguished women serving in the Alabama Senate in conjunction with Women's History Month in March 2011.

Recognizes Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey and Senators Linda Coleman, Priscilla Dunn, Vivian Figures, Tammy Irons, and Harri Anne Smith for their exceptional accomplishments.

Acknowledges women's historic contributions to Alabama and the nation across economic, cultural, and social spheres, including their leadership in major progressive social movements.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to the Lieutenant Governor and each recognized Senator as evidence of the legislature's esteem and appreciation.

Originated in the Alabama Senate on March 22, 2011 and adopted by the House of Representatives on March 29, 2011.
