Commends Dr. Jamie Blair, Superintendent of Vestavia Hills City Schools, for being named 2011 Superintendent of the Year for the State of Alabama.

Recognizes Dr. Blair's 10 years as Vestavia Hills superintendent, 3 years as Cullman City Schools superintendent, 2 years as assistant superintendent at Muscle Shoals City Schools, 10 years as principal, and 8 years as teacher in Opelika City School System.

Notes Dr. Blair holds a Doctorate of Education Administration from University of Alabama, Master of Education Degree from Auburn University, and Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy State University.

Acknowledges Dr. Blair's previous award as Alabama Community Education Association Superintendent of the Year for the Central Region in 2003 and his leadership in establishing excellence in Vestavia Hills schools.
