• Recognizes and commends the University of Alabama's Gymnastics Team for winning the 2011 NCAA National Championship on April 16, 2011, in Cleveland, Ohio, and the SEC Championship.

• Acknowledges that Alabama defeated defending champion UCLA by the smallest margin in the final rotation, with Alabama competing on floor and UCLA on beam.

• Honors senior gymnast Kayla Hoffman, the SEC Gymnast of the Year, for her near-perfect floor routine and Coach Sarah Patterson for winning her fifth national championship (her last coming in 2002).
