AL HB135

Proposes a constitutional amendment authorizing the display of the Ten Commandments on state property and on property owned or administrated by public schools and public bodies.

Establishes that every person has the liberty to worship according to their conscience and prohibits compelling any person to attend or support any place of worship or minister.

Prohibits diminishing or enlarging any person's civil and political rights, privileges, or capacities based on their religious beliefs.

Prohibits the expenditure of public funds in defense of the constitutionality of this amendment.

Directs election officials to place the amendment on the ballot for approval by a majority of qualified electors voting in accordance with Alabama constitutional election procedures.
