AL HB200

Prohibits corporations, incorporated companies, and incorporated associations from making contributions to political action committees, in addition to existing prohibitions on contributions to political parties and candidates.

Makes violations a misdemeanor with fines between $100 and $2,000 at jury discretion.

Allows corporations to establish, administer, and solicit voluntary contributions to separate, segregated funds for political purposes, provided no corporate funds are used in such funds.

Applies to corporations incorporated under Alabama law or doing business in the state, including their servants, agents, employees, and officers.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
