• Amends Section 40-12-248 of the Alabama Code to create specific registration fees for recreational vehicles (RVs) weighing more than 42,000 pounds instead of applying truck registration rates.

• Establishes new weight categories for recreational vehicles from 42,001 to 80,001+ pounds with corresponding base and additional registration fee schedules ranging from $240.00 to $395.00.

• Reduces the registration fee for recreational vehicles weighing 33,001 to 42,000 pounds from $250.00 to $190.00 in both base and additional amount schedules.

• Exempts one recreational vehicle per person from the additional fee amounts in the registration fee schedule; additional RVs owned by the same person are charged both base and additional amounts.

• Effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
