• Amends Section 9-11-59 of the Alabama Code to modify trap identification requirements for licensed trappers.

• Eliminates the requirement that traps be identified with plastic tags and removes the requirement to display the license number of the trap owner on any tag.

• Requires traps to be identified with a metal tag bearing only the name and address of the owner, applying equally to all fur-bearing animals including beaver.

• Maintains existing penalties for violations as misdemeanors punishable by fines of $250 to $2,000 for each offense, with confiscation of devices used in violation.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
