HB362 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates into the Code of Alabama 1975 general and permanent laws enacted during the 2010 First Special Session and 2011 Regular Session, including 2011 Cumulative Supplements to multiple volumes and 2011 Replacement Volumes 12A, 17, 21, and 21A.

• Adopts local and permanent laws contained in initial 2011 Volume 22F (Local Laws Dale - Escambia Counties) and 2011 Cumulative Supplements to local law volumes 22B, 22C, 22D, and 22E.

• Makes four technical corrections to the code: removes duplicative block language from Section 17-14-70, corrects an effective date from January 1, 2013 to January 1, 2012 in Section 22-9A-13, fixes a punctuation error in Section 15-22-36, and resolves a conflict between two amendatory acts in Section 32-5A-191.

• Designates the adoption as a continuous systematic codification of the Code of Alabama 1975 and declares West Group has certified proper discharge of its publishing duties.

• Directs the Secretary of State to file and maintain custody of the authenticated supplements and replacement volumes; expressly preserves all other 2012 session statutes from being affected by this act.
