• Proposes a local constitutional amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 relating to Lawrence County.

• Prohibits any municipality located entirely outside of Lawrence County from imposing municipal ordinances or regulations, including taxes, zoning, planning, sanitation regulations, and inspection services in its police jurisdiction within Lawrence County.

• Prohibits such municipalities from providing regulatory functions, police protection, or fire protection services in their Lawrence County police jurisdictions, with the exception of public safety mutual aid.

• Election on the proposed amendment shall be held in accordance with Amendment 555 to the Alabama Constitution and state election laws.
