• Subjects the Alabama Construction Recruitment Institute to the Alabama Sunset Law as an enumerated agency with a termination date of October 1, 2014, and every four years thereafter unless continued.

• Amends Section 7 of Act 2009-561 to remove the expiration date of May 18, 2013 for construction craft industry fees, allowing continued collection of these fees.

• Repeals Section 7 of Act 2010-220, which confirmed the May 18, 2013 expiration date for construction craft industry fee collection.

• Construction craft industry fees are levied on wages paid by employers for skilled labor on construction contracts and remitted to the Department of Revenue to fund recruitment and training programs for new construction craft trade workers.

• The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
