Requires the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to extend the gun hunting season for whitetail deer through the first two weeks after the close of regular gun season.

Excludes hunting with dogs from the extended season period.

Directs the department to promulgate rules necessary to implement the extended hunting season.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon becoming law through other means.
