Removes the requirement that campaign finance reports filed by principal campaign committees and political action committees must be accompanied by a sworn affidavit.

Reports of contributions and expenditures must still be signed and filed by the elected official, committee chair, or treasurer, but no longer need the accompanying notarized affidavit.

Applies to Section 17-5-8 of the Alabama Code, amending previous campaign finance disclosure requirements.

Takes effect on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
