Prohibits former Alabama legislators from being appointed to cabinet-level positions in the Governor's office within two years of ceasing legislative service.

Prohibits former Alabama legislators from being employed by any branch of state government, state department, agency, board, commission, or public educational institution (including local school boards and higher education institutions) within two years of ceasing legislative service.

Declares any employment or contract violating these restrictions to be void and makes violators personally liable to the State of Alabama for compensation received in violation of the restrictions.

Assigns enforcement authority to the Alabama Attorney General.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
