Authorizes the Blount County Commission to provide an annual expense allowance to the Sheriff of Blount County equal to the monthly expense allowance received by county commission members, effective October 1, 2012 and each October 1 thereafter.

The expense allowance is contingent on county commission approval for each fiscal year and is paid monthly from the county general fund in the same manner as other salaries and allowances.

The allowance is in addition to any other existing salary and expense allowance received by the sheriff.

Became effective immediately upon passage and gubernatorial approval or upon otherwise becoming law.
