Amends Alabama Code Section 13A-3-23 to add a new exception to self-defense justifications that prohibits a person from using physical force if they initially pursued another person engaged in a lawful activity in a public place and that pursuit resulted in a confrontation.

Maintains existing self-defense protections allowing justified use of physical force, including deadly force, for self-defense or defense of another person under specified conditions involving unlawful force, burglary, kidnapping, assault, robbery, rape, or forcible entry.

Prevents a person who initiates a pursuit of someone lawfully acting in public from claiming self-defense justification if force, including deadly force, is used during the resulting confrontation.

Preserves immunity from criminal prosecution and civil action for persons using justified force, unless the force is determined to be unlawful.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
