Creates an additional circuit judgeship designated Circuit Judgeship Number 4 in the Thirty-seventh Judicial Circuit (Lee County).

Makes the judgeship conditional upon Lee County Commission adopting a resolution to fund compensation and benefits for the judge, judicial assistant, and bailiff or law clerk for the first 12 months.

Election of the judge shall occur at the November 2014 general election or the next general election thereafter, subject to Voting Rights Act preclearance and county commission adoption of required funding resolution.

First elected judge shall serve a six-year term beginning the first Monday following the second Tuesday in January after election, with full jurisdiction and duties equivalent to other circuit judges.

Judge compensation shall follow Chapter 10A of Title 12, Code of Alabama 1975, with no salary supplement or expense allowance for judges first elected after October 1, 2001.
