• Amends Act 93-875 to allow the Macon County Economic Development Authority board of directors to appoint additional voting members by a two-thirds vote of a quorum, with a maximum board size of 13 members.

• Establishes four-year terms for members appointed by the board of directors and removes the limitation on consecutive terms that members may serve.

• Requires the Macon County Commission to distribute severance tax funds from Article 3 of Chapter 13, Title 40, Code of Alabama 1975, with 90% to the Economic Development Authority for economic development activities and 10% to the Sheriff's Department for enforcement costs.

• Specifies that the executive director must have a minimum bachelor's degree in economic development, business administration, marketing, finance, economics, public administration, or related field.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
