Municipal judges or magistrates in the City of Moody, Alabama may assess defendants a $100 warrant recall fee to recall failure to appear or failure to comply warrants for municipal ordinance violations or other offenses.

Warrant recall fees must be paid by defendants at the time the warrant is recalled.

The City of Moody is not required to recall any issued warrant; warrant recall decisions are entirely discretionary with the municipal judge or magistrate.

All warrant recall fees collected by the City of Moody Municipal Court shall be deposited into the City of Moody Corrections Fund in accordance with Alabama Code Section 11-47-7.1(a).

The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval, or otherwise becoming law.
