Amends Section 16-64-2 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to classify military veterans as resident students eligible for instate tuition rates at public institutions of higher education.

Defines eligible veterans as individuals who have served one or more years on active military duty and were honorably discharged or received a medical discharge related to their military service.

Applies to veterans registering at any Alabama public college or university without regard to their state of residence at the time of enrollment.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
