Honors Alabama Korean War Veterans who served in the Armed Forces and defended freedom and democracy in South Korea between 1950-1953.

Recognizes more than 130,000 Korean War Veterans from Alabama, including some members of the Alabama Legislature, for their unexcelled service and sacrifices.

Acknowledges that more than 700 Alabamians were among approximately 42,000 Americans who died in the Korean War, and honors the countless wounded survivors.

Directs the Alabama Legislature to convey highest tribute and deepest gratitude to Korean War veterans through presentation and display of this resolution.

Adopted by the House on February 21, 2012 and by the Senate on February 28, 2012.
