House Joint Resolution mourning the death of Mrs. Maria Victoria Ordway, who died on February 15, 2012.

Mrs. Ordway was born in Nunchia, Boyaca, Colombia and was married to Fred Ordway for 62 years; the couple settled in Huntsville, Alabama from the mid-1950s to mid-1970s where she supported her husband's work with the Army, NASA-Marshall, and UAH Research Institute.

She was an avid tennis player, world traveler, and valued community member with a warm and loving nature.

Survivors include her husband Fred, three children (Fred IV, Albert, and Marisol) with their spouses, grandchildren, one sister (Beatriz de Londono), and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Legislature of Alabama records her death with deep sadness and offers this resolution in tribute to her life and with sympathy to her grieving family.
