House Joint Resolution commending Tina Whitmore, a first grade teacher at Guntersville Elementary School, for receiving the 2011 Lake Guntersville Educator of the Year Award.

Recognizes Whitmore's over 30 years of service enriching students' lives through teaching kindergarten and first grade, serving as a reading coach, and supervising early arrival students.

Acknowledges her additional contributions including directing the after-school program, instructing parents of non-English speaking students in reading, and teaching after-school cooking and art classes.

Notes her family includes husband Kim and two daughters, Claire and Rebecca, and that she attends Guntersville First United Methodist Church.
