Commends Edna Mae McCracken Mitchell Mason as an outstanding citizen of Alabama.

Recognizes her birth on June 12, 1917, in Tuscaloosa County as the sixth of nine children to John and Lucy McCracken.

Notes her career as a telephone operator for Southern Bell Telephone Company in Montgomery and Anniston, and later for Southern New England Telephone Company in Connecticut after marrying James W. Mason in 1949.

Acknowledges her return to Tuscaloosa in 1982, active membership in Farley Community Church, and her family including one daughter, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
