• Creates the Fair Campaign Practices Act Study Task Force to conduct a thorough review and analysis of Chapter 5 of Title 17 of the Code of Alabama 1975, which governs campaign funding, reporting, and enforcement.

• Task force composed of 9 member categories including the Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, two state senators, two state representatives, and representatives from the Alabama Probate Judges Association, District Attorneys Association, and Bar Association.

• Task force shall study all aspects of the Fair Campaign Practices Act with particular focus on enforcement and recommend revisions to strengthen the law.

• Task force must submit findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the House, Senate, and Governor by the fifth legislative day of the 2013 Regular Session, after which the task force is dissolved.

• Non-legislative members reimbursed for meeting expenses; legislative members entitled to regular compensation and per diem; total legislative expenditures capped at $1,000.
