House Joint Resolution mourning the death of Mr. Arnold Hornbuckle of Huntsville, Alabama, who died on January 31, 2012, at age 84.

Founded WAHR-FM radio station in 1959, the first FM station in Alabama not previously associated with an existing AM station, which became one of the highest-rated stations in North Alabama over 40 years.

Established Hornbuckle's Record Shop as a teenager, which expanded to include musical instruments and home entertainment electronics; inducted into Alabama Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame in 2009.

Served as founding member of Space City Lions Club and held leadership positions on boards including YMCA, Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Boys and Girls Club, and First Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Survived by two sons, Ronnie and Guy Hornbuckle, and one brother, Austin Hornbuckle; adopted by both houses of the Alabama Legislature on February 14-16, 2012.
