Commends Adam Winegarden for his outstanding achievements as Head Football Coach at Hillcrest High School and for positively impacting the lives of youth.

Coached the Patriots to a 21-3 record over two seasons, including a 12-1 record in 2011 with a Class 6A, Region 5 championship title and a school-record 467 points scored.

Led the Patriots to consecutive Region Championships for the first time in school history, with a 6-1 region record and Class 6A playoff appearance in 2010.

Fostered strong character and academic motivation in players, initiated athletic facility upgrades, started tailgating traditions at home games, and provided leadership for summer senior trips and mentorship programs.

Winegarden is departing Hillcrest High School to accept a head football coach position at Fairhope High School.
