Recognizes and honors Corporal R.E. Tucker of the Montgomery Police Department as a nominee for the 2012 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On December 14, 2011, Corporal Tucker and his canine partner Bodi responded to a business robbery on Atlanta Highway, tracked an armed suspect, and worked to apprehend him.

Canine Bodi was shot during the pursuit but continued to engage the suspect until pulled back by Corporal Tucker, who then fired shots that caused the suspect to drop his weapon and surrender.

Corporal Tucker has served with the Montgomery Police Department since December 2003, and Canine Bodi since July 2003.

Directs that Corporal Tucker receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem for his extraordinary heroism and selflessness.
