Honors Mr. R.C. Adams of Huntsville, Alabama, on his 98th birthday with commendations and congratulations from the Alabama House of Representatives.

Recognizes his military service in the United States Army, including participation in the D-Day battle at Normandy, and his later dedication to the Civil Rights struggle in Alabama.

Credits him with establishing schools in the 1950s to prepare Black voters for literacy tests required for voter registration in Alabama when fewer than 100 Black voters existed in Madison County.

Acknowledges his graduation from Alabama A and M University in 1955 with a degree in Building Science, his construction company that hired AAMU students, and his participation in Civil Rights events including Bloody Sunday in March 1965 on Selma's Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Notes his continued residence in the home he built over five decades ago and his numerous awards including the Martin Luther King Award and recognition as a "Civil Rights Legend."
