Kevin Ray Yoder of Guntersville, Alabama died on April 20, 2012, at age 17 in a tragic automobile accident while traveling to an athletic camp in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Kevin was a junior at Guntersville High School who competed in pole vault and the 400-meter run on the school track team since eighth grade, and also played running back on the football team.

Kevin was self-motivated with a love of sports, professional hockey, and NASCAR, and his impact on those who knew him will be lasting.

Kevin is survived by parents Michelle Massion and Timothy Yoder; brothers Kyle Erwin, Keith Yoder, Tristan Slemmer, and Chance Powell; sister Kayttie Slemmer; and extended family.

The House of Representatives records his death with deep sadness and offers this resolution in tribute to his life and as heartfelt sympathy to his grieving family, classmates, teammates, and friends.
