Mr. Gerald Douglas Burrell of Rainbow City, Alabama, died on January 24, 2012, at the age of 67 years.

He was born and reared in Ethel, Mississippi, and had resided in Etowah County for more than 40 years as a member of White Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Lawrence Burrell; sons Dwayne, Mark, and Jason Burrell; and grandchildren Andrew, Olivia, Emma Grace, Payton, and Audrey.

The House of Representatives records his death with deep sadness and offers this resolution as a tribute to his life and in sympathy to his grieving family.
