Mourning resolution for Mattie Johnson of Tuskegee, Alabama, who died on February 5, 2012, at age 78.

Recognized her educational achievements including a Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University Montgomery and a Master of Science degree from Alabama State University.

Honored her career service with the Veterans Administration, Auburn University, Tuskegee University, and Job Corps as a placement specialist, and post-retirement work as a substitute teacher and adult education instructor.

Acknowledged her community contributions including tutoring students, serving as a foster parent, volunteering with RSVP at East Alabama Medical Center, and making blankets for Haiti earthquake victims.
