AL SB11

Prohibits any person from fraudulently misrepresenting themselves, other persons, or affiliated organizations as speaking or acting for candidates, campaign committees, political action committees, or political parties in a manner damaging to those entities.

Requires automated or pre-recorded political communications conducted through automated telephone dialing services to provide clear notice at the end of the call identifying who paid for the communication.

Prohibits knowingly misrepresenting the identification of the person, entity, or committee that paid for automated or pre-recorded political advertisements transmitted via automated telephone dialing services.

Grants the Alabama Attorney General full power to investigate and enforce violations of these provisions.

Establishes violation of this section as a Class A misdemeanor for any owner, employer, agent, or representative of an automated dialing service found in violation.
