Reduces required instruction hours for motor vehicle accident prevention courses from eight to six hours for persons 55 years of age or older seeking insurance premium reductions

Allows online instruction in addition to classroom instruction for the motor vehicle accident prevention course

Maintains existing requirements that courses be sponsored by the National Safety Council, American Automobile Association, or AARP, or be an equivalent program approved by the Department of Public Safety

Requires instructors to be certified by the sponsoring entity and course contents to be outlined by the sponsoring entity

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor
