• Amends Section 28-3A-23 of the Alabama Code to allow beer to be sold in containers not exceeding 25.4 ounces at retail.

• Permits retail sale of beer in bottles, cans, or other containers up to the 25.4-ounce maximum, with draft and keg beer exempted from this size restriction.

• Maintains existing regulations for wine sales, which must comply with U.S. Treasury Department standards of fill for off-premise consumption.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
