Department of Conservation and Natural Resources shall extend the gun hunting season for whitetail deer through the first two weeks after the close of regular gun season.

Hunting with dogs is not permitted during the extended season period.

Department shall promulgate rules necessary to implement the extended hunting season.

Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
