SB430 Summary

• Authorizes the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, and President Pro Tempore of the Senate to designate individuals to replace them on state committees, boards, commissions, and agencies where they serve ex officio.

• Requires designations to be made in writing, delivered to the relevant committee or agency, and include the length of the designation period.

• Permits designations to be terminated at any time using the same method as they were made.

• Does not apply to designations already authorized by other state laws or rules of the House of Representatives or Senate.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
