Repeals sections 27-1-21, 27-1-22, and 27-1-23 of the Alabama Insurance Code relating to health insurance and auto insurance requirements.

Section 27-1-21 addressed health benefit plan requirements for prescription drug coverage, including uniform coinsurance and copayment factors between retail and mail service pharmacies.

Section 27-1-22 required health benefit plans to issue uniform prescription drug information cards in a format approved by the National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP).

Section 27-1-23 prohibited personal auto insurance carriers from increasing premiums for full-time law enforcement officers, firefighters, and volunteer emergency responders based on motor vehicle accidents.

The act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
