• Proposes Amendment 609 to the Alabama Constitution to change how the Marengo County Judge of Probate is compensated, replacing a prior compensation method with an annual salary calculated under Chapter 2A of Title 11, Code of Alabama 1975.

• Requires all fees, commissions, allowances, percentages, and other charges collected by the judge of probate to be paid into the county general fund rather than retained by the judge.

• Directs the Marengo County Commission to provide the judge of probate with office personnel, clerks, deputies, quarters, books, stationery, furniture, equipment, and supplies necessary for office operations, with personnel compensation fixed by the commission and paid from the county General Fund.
