• Amends existing Alabama law to allow businesses, employers, and subcontractors on state-funded projects to choose between three verification methods: federal E-Verify, ALVerify system (developed by University of Alabama's Center for Advanced Public Safety), or E-Verify employer agent service (established by Alabama Department of Homeland Security).

• Previously required all businesses and employers to use only the federal E-Verify program; this bill provides alternative options while maintaining the requirement to verify employee immigration status and work eligibility.

• Applies to all business entities and employers in Alabama, as well as contractors and subcontractors receiving state contracts, grants, or incentives.

• Maintains existing enforcement mechanisms including contract termination, business license suspension (up to 60 days for first violation), and permanent license revocation for subsequent violations.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
