Applies only to the City of Pell City in St. Clair County and authorizes the city's governing body to call a referendum election within 30 days on Sunday alcohol sales.

Ballot question asks voters whether to allow legal sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages on Sundays between 12:00 P.M. noon and 9:30 P.M., and anytime after noon on Sundays when New Year's Eve (December 31) occurs.

If a majority votes "Yes," licensed retailers may sell alcoholic beverages on Sundays during authorized hours in compliance with state and local laws; the municipality may enact ordinances to regulate Sunday sales.

If a majority votes "No," alcoholic beverages may not be sold on Sundays after 2:00 A.M., unless authorized by subsequent election or state law.

Election notice must be published or posted at city hall at least three weeks before the election, with costs paid from the municipal general fund.
