Commends Auburn University's mascot Aubie for winning the 2012 Universal Cheerleaders Association College Mascot National Championship.

Aubie won the championship title for the seventh time, having previously won in 1991, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2003, and 2006.

Recognizes Aubie's performance in character development, game situation performance, crowd involvement, cheer, dance, band integration, and community service.

Notes that Aubie was created as a cartoon character by illustrator Phil Neel in 1959 and made his first live appearance at the 1979 Southeastern Conference basketball tournament.

Resolution was adopted by the Alabama Senate on April 5, 2012 and by the House of Representatives on April 12, 2012.
