Establishes the Alabama War of 1812 Commission to commemorate the War of 1812 in response to a request from the U.S. Navy Department's History and Heritage Command.

Commission will consist of not less than 12 nor more than 24 members appointed by the President of the Mobile Council of the Navy League of the United States.

Three battles of the War of 1812 were fought in South Alabama, forming the basis for the state's participation in the commemoration.

Senate adopted the resolution on April 26, 2012, and the House of Representatives adopted it on May 1, 2012.
