Mourns the untimely death of Joseph Raymond "Ray" Crosby, III, of Montgomery, Alabama, who died on January 29, 2012, at age 65.

Recognizes Crosby's 30-year career as a valued legislative analyst for the Alabama Legislative Reference Service and his service on the First Legislative Task Force of the Alabama State Bar.

Acknowledges Crosby's education at the University of Alabama and John Marshall School of Law, and his dedication to the Episcopal Church of the Ascension through involvement with Family Promise, Beans and Rice Ministry, and New Beginnings tutoring.

Honors Crosby's community service including volunteering with the YMCA Soccer Program, supporting Montgomery Academy, and fundraising for the Alabama Cancer Society.

Expresses the Senate's sincere gratitude for Crosby's life and offers heartfelt sympathy and condolence to his family.
