Establishes regulation of tanning facilities in Alabama, which were previously unregulated, under the Department of Public Health.

Requires tanning facility owners to provide written notice to customers before initial use and annually regarding health risks including eye damage, skin burns, premature aging, skin cancer, and medication interactions.

Prohibits persons under 18 years of age from using any tanning device and requires facility owners to display warning signs and customers to sign acknowledgment statements and wear protective eye wear.

Establishes misdemeanor penalties for violations: fines up to $200 for first violation and up to $500 for subsequent violations.

Becomes effective on the first day of the sixth month following passage and approval by the Governor.
