HB234 Summary

• Adopts and incorporates into the Code of Alabama 1975 all general and permanent laws enacted during the 2012 Regular Session and 2012 First Special Session as contained in specified cumulative supplements and replacement volumes 11, 11A, 13, and 20.

• Adopts and incorporates local laws for Etowah-Geneva Counties (Volume 22G) and other county-specific local laws enacted in 2012 from cumulative supplements to volumes 22B, 22C, 22D, 22E, and 22F.

• Corrects Section 34-17-21 in the 2012 Cumulative Supplement to Volume 18 by restoring subdivision (3) regarding citizenship and legal presence requirements that was inadvertently deleted.

• Designates West Group as the Code Publisher and confirms it certified proper compilation of replacement volumes through combining previous bound volumes with cumulative supplements while making only nonsubstantive corrections.

• Requires authenticated code volumes be transmitted to and filed with the Secretary of State, who shall maintain custody and provide certifications upon request for fees; does not affect any other 2013 session statutes.
