Repeals prior adoption and funding of the Common Core State Standards Initiative and voids all actions taken to implement it at the state or district level.

Prohibits the State Board of Education from adopting and the Department of Education from implementing Common Core State Standards.

Restricts state entities from expanding Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems (SLDS) beyond basic administrative needs and prohibits sharing student or teacher data with entities outside the state except under limited circumstances requiring written agreements and parental consent.

Requires the State Board of Education to retain sole control over school standards and prohibits joining consortiums that cede control to outside entities.

Mandates public hearings in each Congressional District, a one-year open comment period, joint legislative committee hearings, and a majority vote of the Alabama Legislature before adopting any statewide school standards.
