Provides civil immunity for a person who injures or damages an alleged perpetrator when the use of force by the defendant is justified during the commission, attempted commission, or flight from a crime.

Protects crime victims from civil liability for injuries or damages caused to an alleged perpetrator during commission of a crime unless the victim's act or omission was unreasonable under the circumstances and resulted from willful or wanton misconduct.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon otherwise becoming law.
