Amends Section 34-30-1 of the Alabama Code to add a definition of "psychosocial evaluation" as an assessment by a licensed certified social worker applying appropriate classification codes from systems like the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or International Classification of Diseases.

Renumbers existing definitions in Section 34-30-1 for full-time social work (35 hours per week), part-time social work (at least 10 hours per week), social work practice, social work method, and social work specialty.

Creates new Section 34-30-34 to clarify that licensed certified social workers may provide clinical treatment or psychosocial evaluation using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as it relates to social work practice.

Prohibits licensed certified social workers from prescribing or administering drugs, making medical diagnoses, providing medical treatment, managing medical conditions, or treating problems falling outside the boundaries of social work practice.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
