Baldwin County Commission or any Baldwin County municipal governing body may designate fire stations as polling places for any voting precinct, district, center, or ward in elections held in Baldwin County.

Eligible fire stations must be those whose fire departments receive any portion of tax proceeds derived from Section 45-2-242, Code of Alabama 1975.

Designated fire stations may be used for primary, general, special, federal, state, district, county, or municipal elections.

Fire departments must grant free access to designated fire stations for elections and cannot deny access or charge a fee.

Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
