Applies only to the City of Wetumpka in Elmore County and authorizes the municipal governing body to call an election within 30 days on Sunday alcohol sales by restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs.

Ballot question asks voters whether to allow licensed establishments to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption on Sundays between 12:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and anytime after noon on New Year's Eve (December 31).

If voters approve by majority, properly licensed restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs may legally sell alcoholic beverages on Sunday during specified hours in compliance with applicable laws and municipal ordinances.

If voters reject the measure by majority, alcoholic beverages may not be sold on Sunday after 2:00 a.m., except as authorized by law or a subsequent election.

Election costs are paid from the municipality's general fund, and the city may enact ordinances to regulate Sunday alcohol sales; this act does not repeal existing city powers under state or local law.
